Esta iniciativa se enmarca en el Programa de Voluntariado Corporativo de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, que tiene como objetivo animar a su plantilla a participar en medidas de apoyo a las comunidades en las que opera.<\/p>\n<p>Concretamente, los voluntarios y voluntarias de la cementera de Tenerife han participado en un Taller de almohadas del coraz\u00f3n que ayudan a posicionar el brazo tras la operaci\u00f3n de c\u00e1ncer de mama. Unos cojines muy especiales porque, por su forma de coraz\u00f3n con la V m\u00e1s pronunciada de lo habitual, encajan perfectamente en la axila y reducen la presi\u00f3n contra el costado, minimizando en lo posible las molestias en la cicatriz, el brazo y el hombro, adem\u00e1s de ayudar a la circulaci\u00f3n linf\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00c1mate\u201d es una asociaci\u00f3n de c\u00e1ncer de mama de Tenerife que da asesoramiento y apoyo para pacientes afectados con c\u00e1ncer de mama y sus familiares, ayud\u00e1ndoles a hacer frente al malestar emocional provocado por la enfermedad y\/o los tratamientos. La principal fortaleza de esta entidad creada en 2006 es que est\u00e1 compuesta por mujeres que han pasado por esta patolog\u00eda, por lo que entienden perfectamente por lo que est\u00e1n pasando las personas que acuden a buscar ayuda. Adem\u00e1s, todos y cada uno de los profesionales que trabajan en la asociaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n capacitados para atender las necesidades f\u00edsicas y psicol\u00f3gicas que se pueden ver en hombres, dado que en la actualidad el c\u00e1ncer no distingue entre sexos y el 10% de los afectados de c\u00e1ncer de mama son hombres.<\/p>\n<p>Andres Moreno, director de Cemento y Hormig\u00f3n de Votorantim Cimentos en Canarias, ha comentado sobre la jornada: \u201cEstamos muy orgullosos de participar en una iniciativa como esta, que es todo coraz\u00f3n. Uno de los compromisos incluidos en el Plan de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa de Votorantim Cimentos es el de ser un buen vecino y contribuir a mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes del entorno de sus f\u00e1bricas, pero en este caso es m\u00e1s satisfactorio, porque hablamos de ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes operados de c\u00e1ncer de
