Con estos reconocimientos, en sus diferentes modalidades, la instituci\u00f3n viguesa pretende dar a conocer la realidad empresarial de Galicia, identificando a las compa\u00f1\u00edas que presentan mejores par\u00e1metros en factores cr\u00edticos para la competitividad.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el indicador Empresa Circular reconoce a Votorantim Cimentos como una empresa que establece colaboraciones con grupos de inter\u00e9s e incorpora criterios circulares en el conjunto de sus procesos productivos.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los Compromisos de Sostenibilidad 2030 de Votorantim Cimentos es el de contribuir a la econom\u00eda circular. Para ello la compa\u00f1\u00eda apuesta firmemente por el uso de combustibles alternativos, aprovechando la energ\u00eda de los residuos industriales, urbanos y de biomasa que no pueden reciclarse, as\u00ed como incorporando como materias primas subproductos de otras industrias, como escorias y cenizas volantes, que encuentran un prop\u00f3sito sostenible en la producci\u00f3n de cemento y hormig\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto m\u00e1s reciente de la compa\u00f1\u00eda es la puesta en marcha de una instalaci\u00f3n de aprovechamiento de materiales no reciclables con alto poder calor\u00edfico para su uso como combustibles. La planta se ubicar\u00e1 en Galicia y est\u00e1 previsto entre en funcionamiento a lo largo de 2026. Gracias a esta iniciativa la compa\u00f1\u00eda dispondr\u00e1 generar\u00e1 80.000 toneladas al a\u00f1o de combustibles alternativos.<\/p>\n<p>Con la valorizaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica, Votorantim Cimentos adem\u00e1s de aplicar el principio de econom\u00eda circular tambi\u00e9n reduce su huella ambiental en la senda de su objetivo de hormig\u00f3n neutro en carbono en 2050. Las f\u00e1bricas de Votorantim Cimentos en Espa\u00f1a han alcanzado el 50% de sustituci\u00f3n de combustibles alternativos, 10 puntos porcentuales por encima de la media espa\u00f1ola. Con la sustituci\u00f3n de combustibles f\u00f3siles por alternativos hemos evitado la emisi\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 190.000 t de CO2, lo que equivale a las emisiones anuales de m\u00e1s de 53.000
