sistema de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda en forma de aire comprimido que permitir\u00e1 almacenar energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica generada por fuentes renovables, impulsando su uso, disminuyendo el consumo de combustibles f\u00f3siles y la reduciendo las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero.<\/p>\n<p>Este proyecto supone la posibilidad de desarrollar un futuro energ\u00e9tico sostenible garantizando la seguridad del suministro y mejorando su eficiencia mediante un aplanamiento de la curva de demanda y la integraci\u00f3n de fuentes renovables.<\/p>\n<p>Para conseguirlo, \u00abSmart Minergy\u00bb pretende construir un prototipo demostrativo precompetitivo, operativo y replicable, para la utilizaci\u00f3n de infraestructura de subsuelo (t\u00fanel, galer\u00eda) como almacenamiento de energ\u00eda en forma de aire comprimido.<\/p>\n<p>En esta aventura, Cementos Cosmos se encargar\u00e1 principalmente del dise\u00f1o y caracterizaci\u00f3n de los materiales utilizados en el sostenimiento y revestimiento de la cavidad minera para poder ser empleada como almac\u00e9n de aire comprimido y trabajar\u00e1 junto con la Fundaci\u00f3n Santa B\u00e1rbara, Obras Subterr\u00e1neas, T\u00faneles y Geomec\u00e1nica y la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto, con referencia RTC2019-006874-3,tiene un plazo de ejecuci\u00f3n de 22 meses y cuenta con un presupuesto global de 840.399 \u20ac, de los cuales el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n y la Agencia Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n, asumen 627.182, ya que \u00abSmart Minergy\u00bb pertenece a los \u00abRetos Colaboraci\u00f3n\u00bb del Plan Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica y T\u00e9cnica y de Innovaci\u00f3n
