El a\u00f1o pasado, m\u00e1s del 25% de la energ\u00eda calor\u00edfica necesaria en el horno para fabricar cl\u00ednker procedi\u00f3 de combustibles derivados de residuos en lugar de provenir de combustibles f\u00f3siles tradicionales. Entre estos combustibles alternativos destaca el orujillo de aceituna, que cuenta con una contribuci\u00f3n neutra a las emisiones del principal gas de efecto invernadero, el di\u00f3xido de carbono.<\/p>\n<p>Esta sustituci\u00f3n de combustibles ha permitido alcanzar una reducci\u00f3n en las emisiones de CO\u2082 procedentes de la combusti\u00f3n de 45 kg por tonelada de clinker. En total se han ahorrado 9.653 t de CO\u2082, que equivalen a las emisiones anuales de 8.250 turismos.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el director de la planta, Jaime Santoalla, ha comentado \u00abconscientes de la huella de carbono de nuestra actividad, desde Cementos Cosmos aceptamos nuestra responsabilidad para cumplir con los objetivos globales de reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. Para ello, adem\u00e1s de tener implantadas en nuestra f\u00e1brica integral de Oural las mejores t\u00e9cnicas disponibles (MTDs) para la prevenci\u00f3n y control de la contaminaci\u00f3n, desde hace a\u00f1os venimos trabajando en reducir las emisiones directas de CO\u2082 derivadas de nuestro proceso
